Jointly organized by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Education and Health Work Party Committee, and the Municipal Education Commission, the 5th Shanghai University Young Teacher Teaching Competition was held at Shanghai Normal University from October 25th to 27th. 257 excellent young teachers under the age of40 from 56 colleges and universities in the city participated in the competition. Five young teachers from our school won awards in five groups, among which Liu Yan, a teacher from our college, won the second prize of comprehensive disciplines in higher vocational colleges.
The competition is divided into seven groups, including humanities, social sciences, ideological and political theory courses, basic natural science disciplines, applied natural science disciplines, comprehensive higher vocational colleges and medical disciplines. The competition consists of three parts: teaching design, classroom teaching and teaching reflection. The Youth Education Competition aims to take fostering virtue through education asthe foundation, taking a good course as the concept, and ingenuity and cultivating people as the theme, adhere to the combination of knowledge imparting, ability training and value shaping, Pay attention to the reform of curriculum ideological and political, carry forward the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit, lead teachers to be good guides for students' growth, promote the creation of a group of leaders with advancededucational concepts and love of teaching, and strive to be professional teachers and studyreal problems, become a model for students to learn, do things, and live, promote teaching and learning through competitions, and help create a first-class Shanghai higher education with characteristics.
